Charges Without a Meter

When a meter installation isn't possible, the water Wholesaler determines your charges based on either an unmeasured tariff or an assessed tariff.

Unmeasured Tariff

Under an unmeasured tariff, your charges rely on the Rateable Value associated with your premises. Learn more about Unmeasured Tariffs

Assessed Tariff

An assessed tariff calculates charges by estimating your annual water consumption. The Wholesaler determines this estimate by considering your business activities and water usage at the premises. Learn more about Assessed Tariffs

Requesting a Review

If a meter can't be installed, and your circumstances change significantly (e.g., business activities, number of employees, or operating hours), please notify us. We will relay this information to the Wholesaler and request a review of your estimated annual water consumption. If necessary, you may be moved from an unmeasured to an assessed tariff.
